PERFORMANCE, BUSINESS MODELS, STRATEGIES AND INNOVATION MANAGEMENT FOR GROWTH AND PROFITABILITY
A STUDY OF STATE LEVEL PUBLIC ENTERPRISES IN ASSAM
R.K. Mishra
About the Book
This book presents thoughtful insights into the management of public sector corporations in a state of North East India - the state of Assam. It is felt that many a public enterprise organization in the several states of India are performing sub-optimally. This could be due mainly with the hitherto prevalent belief that public sector enterprises (PSEs) are meant to carry out their business with lesser emphasis on profitability - more as social service kind of organizations. Though this perception has started changing, yet the typical traits of the private enterprise - mainly profitability and growth - are still regarded as secondary across several PSEs.
