Alex Winter-nelson

Dr. Alex Winter-Nelson is a professor emeritus at College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA. His book, The Atlas of World Hunger was the winner of the 2011 James M, Blaut Innovative Publication Award from the Association of American Geographers. He has been consultant for The World Bank, The Nile Basin Initiative, The International Food Policy Research Institute, and The International Center for Research in the Semi-Arid Tropics. He did his Ph.D. from Stanford University Food Research Institute.
