Lekha Subaiya

Lekha Subaiya is an Assistant Professor at the Population Research Centre, Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore. Prior to joining ISEC, she was working at the ORC Macro, USA and has been associated with the Demographic and Health Surveys. She holds Ph.D in Sociology, University of Maryland, USA and Masters in Sociology from the same university. Her area of research includes family dynamics, ageing issues and gender. She has published several monographs and research papers in the area of population, gender and health.
