Arvind Pandey

Arvind Pandey is the Director of National Institute of Medical Statistics, ICMR, New Delhi. Prior to this, he was a professor at the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai. He has several awards and honours to his credit. He was a Rockefeller Foundation postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, USA. He is currently the President of the Indian Association for the Study of Population and Indian Society for Medical Statistics. He is also a fellow of the Indian Society of Medical Statistics, Royal Statistical Society, UK, and has received Fellow award of the National Academy of Medical Sciences. He has published number of books, monographs and research papers in demography and statistics. His areas of specialisation are in bio-statistics, epidemiology and population studies.
