Kamal Kumar Datta an Economics honours graduate, post graduated from Calcutta University and did his PhD in Economics from Kurukshetra University and Masters in Business Management from Annamalai University.

 

In 2010, he was awarded ICAR Award for Outstanding Interdisciplinary Team Research 2007-08 in Social Sciences. Presently he is working on sustainable agricultural system to develop a suitable farming system alternative to the existing intensive/extensive method of cultivation. He has more than 100 research publications in various peer-reviewed and refereed research journals of national and international repute. He has contributed to more than 20 technical bulletins and other publications. He has received several awards for best papers as well as best presentation in well reputed leading journals like Indian Journal of Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Economics Research Association.

 

Subhasis Mandal, after graduating from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidayalaya (BCKVV), Mohanpur (West Bengal) completed his Masters in Agricultural Economics from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUA&T), Pantnagar (Uttarakhand) and PhD in Agricultural Economics from Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. In 2005, he received Dr. D.T. Doshi Award for best paper presentation by Agricultural Economics Research Association (AERA). As team member, he has been recognised and received ‘Ground Water Augmentation Award 2008’ under the Institution category in the northeast region, bestowed by Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India. He has more than 20 research publications in various peer-reviewed and refereed research journals of national and international repute and has contributed to several technical bulletins, books and other publications. Since 2008, he is working as Senior Scientist (Agricultural Economics), at Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI), Regional Research Station (RRS), Canning Town, West Bengal.
